Nightcap Support

Need a hand, or want to tell us something?
Email support@nightcappapp.com.
You can also reach this from inside the app: the gear icon, then Questions or feedback. That version includes your app and iOS version automatically, which saves a round trip.
Nightcap needs two people
The app does nothing on its own. One of you taps Invite your partner and sends the code or link; the other opens it, or enters the six characters. Until then there is deliberately nothing to use.
If you tap your own invitation, nothing happens — an invitation has to be accepted by the other person. Send it to them instead.
Why can't I check in?
Each couple sets a deadline to seal. Check-in opens twelve hours before that deadline and closes on it, and the twelve hours after it belong to no evening. If you see Tonight has closed, the window has passed; the screen tells you when it opens again.
You can move the deadline at any time in Settings, and the window follows it immediately.
What my partner sees
Only what you both chose. If you pick something and they don't, neither of you is told — not that the other one picked it, and not that they didn't. Nothing in the app or its notifications reveals whether your partner has checked in at all.
A gratitude note crosses only if you tick the box to share it.
Notifications
At most two a night: a nudge two hours before your deadline if you haven't sealed, and one when there is something to see. Nothing a notification says reveals what you chose, because a lock screen is a public surface.
Calendar and photos
Both are optional, both are used only on your phone, and nothing from either is ever uploaded. They let Nightcap suggest wording for a gratitude note based on what was on your calendar or in your photos today. Decline both and the app works the same; you'll just write your own.
iOS only offers each prompt once. If you declined and want to change your mind, it's in iOS Settings under Nightcap.
Leaving, and deleting
Either of you can unpair at any time, on your own, without the other agreeing — that is deliberate. Tonight's choices are destroyed; gratitude already sent stays with whoever received it, because it was given to them.
Delete account in Settings removes your account, your whole gratitude archive and any pending choices, on our servers as well as your phone. It cannot be undone.
